The polychromed 8 foot high x 6 foot wide high bas-relief shows Christ redeeming the souls of Adam and Eve from Hell.
Adam and Eve are portrayed as figures breaking away from their bondage. The large bas- relief is polychromed in oils and highlighted in gold.
This act of redemption is known as Shoal in Catholicism and is known as Anastasis in the Greek Orthodox Church.
This is one of two panels installed near the altar of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Carnegie, Pennsylvania.
